The event was attended by Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep and Chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Group Tran Ngoc Thuan.
Reviewing the tradition of rubber trees in Dong Nai, Donaruco’s General Director Do Minh Tuan said that after Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975), The Southeastern Region Party Committee established Southeastern Rubber Management Board to take over 12 rubber plantations covering 21,000 hectares and 4 latex processing factories which had belonged to France’s companies.
On June 2, 1975, the State-owned Southeastern Rubber Company was put into operation. By the end of 1975, the company exploited more than 18,500 tons of rubber latex, processed and handed over to the State 10,500 tons of latex which could meet standards for export, exceeding 7.8% of the set target.
Over the past 45 years, Donaruco has constantly promoted its tradition of solidarity, creativeness and hard-working and achieved yearly targets and assigned tasks and it has become the first flag of the Vietnam Rubber Group.
Accordingly, Donaruco has developed nearly 37,000 hectares of rubber; its products has been favorite with customers in Vietnam and other countries. Donaruco has reported yearly growth of 14.5 percent, generating jobs to 5,000 laborers with yearly personal income of VND9 million.
