According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai’s export turnover to the US hit US$451.7 million in January 2019, 7.4 percent higher than that of December 2018, and a year-on-year rise of 7.2 percent.
Commodities exported to the US with large export value in the month included footwear with US$127.8 million, wood and wood-based products at US$86 million, textiles-garment at US$77.4 million and steel products worth US$30 million.
China and Japan are also key importers of enterprises in the province.
Statistics show that Dong Nai’s export turnover in February is estimated to reach US$1.19 billion. The figure is expected to surge in March as many local firms have received orders for the whole year.
