(ĐN)- Since the beginning of 2018, Dong Nai’s pork turnover has reached 274,000 tons, 5,400 tons higher those of 2017.
Meanwhile, the province’s chicken turnover accounted of 65,700 tons, increasing 2,300 tons.
The increase was attributed to the high prices of live pigs in the market.
According to the provincial Statistics Department, the total chicken herd in the province has reached nearly 2.45 million heads, a year-on-year increase of 19 percent, while the province’s total poultry herd has been nearly 24 million heads, increasing 20 percent over the same period last year, including more than 22.5 million chickens.
