Dong Nai's total aquaculture area reaches over 30,000 hectares

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the province's total area of aquaculture in 2016 reached over 30,125 hectares and aquaculture production value was at VND1,946 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent.

Dong Nai is focusing in boosting the development of aquaculture sector in a sustainable way to increase productivity and quality.

Many aquaculture areas in the province have been stepping up the model of good aquaculture practice; developing hi-tech intensive shrimp farming. Particularly, Tra Co commune had nearly 30 hectares of shrimp farming area under VietGAP standards, while Long Thanh and Nhon Trach district are expanding hi-tech shrimp farming areas.
