(ĐN)- A conference to review 2016 rural, agricultural and fishery census has been held in Dong Nai late last week.
According to the 2016 census, Dong Nai has more than 481,000 households participating in the agriculture and fisheries, an increase of 13 percent compared to the previous census.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Chanh, who is head of the steering committee for the census said agriculture, fisheries census basically completed in Dong Nai.
The census’s results will serve the design of plans and strategies for developing agriculture and rural areas and raising rural residents’ living standards across the province. It also helps assess the implementation of national programmes on new-style rural area building, and the industrialization and modernizations of agriculture and rural areas.
