Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee warmly welcomed the delegation. At the reception, Vinh briefed the delegation on the locality's prominent socio-economic achievements. Dong Nai is now home to 32 industrial parks covering an area of more than 10,000 ha. It is one of leading localities nationwide in foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction, drawing over US$25 billion from investors in 44 countries and territories. Currently, the province is making preparations to build Long Thanh international airport, the biggest one in Vietnam. The airport is expected to handle 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo by 2025 in the first phase.
For his part, Mr.Oleksiy Shovkoplias said that Ukraine enterprises would like to show their interest in joining the development of Long Thanh International Airport and other projects in Dong Nai. He is willing to act as a bridge for Ukraine firms' investments in the province.
