(ĐN)- According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam’s total chicken herd has so far reached some 272.2 million.
Accordingly, four localities have the largest total chicken herd, including Thanh Hoa with more than 17.7 million heads, Dong Nai with nearly 17.6 million heads, Nghe An with around 17.5 million, and Bac Giang with more than 16 million heads.
In Dong Nai province, 80 percent of the chicken herd is raised under self-contained concentrated farms. The province is also leading the country in raising chicken under farm model.
