(ĐN)- Dong Nai Cocoa Development Center, locating in Dinh Quan district’s Phu Hoa commune, was inaugurated and put into operation on January 4.
The center was established based on the cooperation between Trong Duc Cocoa Co., Ltd in Dinh Quan district and Lam Dong province-based Atlantic Commodities Vietnam Ltd (ACOM).

The center aims to establish key skilled cocoa farmers in the province and the neighboring localities and thence transfer, provide guidance to households and those who want to grow cocoa trees in the region. In addition, the farmers will become a service point to collect fresh cocoa; process, ferment cocoa or distribute seedlings; etc.
The center also helps increase cocoa productivity, quality under international standards as well as increase income, contributing to develop land area under cocoa cultivation and cocoa output in sustainable way.
ACOM, a member of Switzerland’s ECOM Group, was founded in 2002. ACOM focuses on the processing and exporting of coffee, cocoa and cotton. ECOM has set up many cocoa development centers in Mexico, Ivory Coast, Indonesia, etc.
