The event was attended by Deputy General Director of Viet Nam Customs Nguyen Cong Binh, Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong and Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee.
Last year, Dong Nai Customs earned lots of achievements. Accordingly, 1.2 million customs declaration units have been processed by the department; total import-export revenue stood at US$30 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9 percent; tax collections reached VND16.211 billion, exceeding 12 percent of the targets.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee praised achievements made by Dong Nai Customs Department, adding that the department is the pioneer agency of the province in applying information technology in daily work and boosting administrative reform. He asked the department to continue its efforts to fulfill the set target in 2017.
