(ĐN)- On January 17, Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to honor good farmers in production and business in the period of 2012-2016.
The event was attended by Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hong Ly of Vietnam Farmerss Association, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of People’s Committee and 400 typical farmers.
Over the past five years, more than 680,000 farmer households in the province registered to participate in the emulation movements of good production and business and over 423,000 households won this title.
The association and its agencies also mobilized over VND23 billion and thousands of seedlings and breeding animals from their members to help over 22,500 poor farmer households develop production and stabilize their life, created jobs for 27,000 laborers.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee honored 20 collectives and 100 individuals.
