The two groups suggested being the investors of the project, which will cover around 1,060 hectares in Long Thanh district near Long Thanh International Airport.
According to the investors, the project will be divided into four sections, including a hi-tech agricultural development area, a hi-tech industrial development area, a tourism development area and a resident urban area. The total investment of the project is estimated at more than VND5 trillion.
The investors aim to establish a 300-hectare hi-tech applied agricultural area to produce clean vegetables for export; a hi-tech industrial development area covering over 300 hectares to attract supporting industry projects; a 110-hectare tourist area and an urban area for residents and entertainment.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran van Vinh said that the project will create advantage for the district as it will create jobs for local laborers who will be revoke lands for the airport project as well as create favorable condition for developing economic for the locality.
At the session, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai stressed province’s approval for the implementation of the project, asking the Department of Planning and Investment to support the two groups in investment procedures in order to petition to the Government for ratifying the project.
