Price of peppers drop nearly US$1,500 per ton

(ĐN)- Dong Nai's enterprises earned nearly US$47.3 million from exporting some 5,300 tones of pepper in the first ten months of the year, according to the provincial Statistics Department.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s enterprises earned nearly US$47.3 million from exporting some 5,300 tones of pepper in the first ten months of the year, according to the provincial Statistics Department.

The figures represented decreases of over 1 percent in volume and 15 percent in value compared to the same period last year.

Pepper export price now stands at more than US$8,920 per tonne, a year-on-year decline of 14.4 percent. The enterprises worried that the price of peppers would drop even further.
