Accordingly, the ministry plans to choose Dong Nai province’s chicken to export to Japan.
As far as known, Dong Nai currently has more than 16 million chickens, of them 87 percent are being raised in 466 farms. The province’s Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary is providing guidance and encouragement to local farmers to register in building epidemic safety farms in a bid to ensure the effectiveness of preventing epidemic.
So far, the province has had more than 235 chicken farms meeting epidemic safety requirements and over 30 chicken farms applying good animal husbandry practice (VietGAHPP)’s procedures.
