(ĐN)- The Vietnam Farmers’ Association on Monday organized a seminar in Dong Nai province on Monday to launch a project on improving business competence for agriculture cooperatives in Vietnam.

The project is funded by International Development Assistance Organization of the Netherlands (Agriterra) and has been implemented in Hung Yen, Quang Nam and Dong Nai provinces since 2016 will end in 2018. The financial assistance is allocated every year. In 2016 alone, 38,362 euros has been allocated.
The project will select some cooperatives with enough competence and conditions for piloting and then the effective models will be expanded to the other cooperatives.
It also focuses on provide training to improve professional skills for staff of cooperatives and farmers’ associations through courses, seminars, etc, along with helping provide them competence to access the market and helping cooperatives in building networks, unions and alliances, thus, attracting more farmers to participate in cooperatives and other collective economic organizations.
