The event aimed to introduce the province’s potentials and call for investment in the agricultural projects in Dong Nai. 31 Taiwanese businesses operating in the field of high technology agriculture attended the seminar.
Addressing at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Chanh said that Dong Nai has attracted nearly 1,230 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of nearly US$25 billion as of late June this year, adding that there are 286 Taiwan-invested projects capitalized more than US$5.15 billion, ranking 2nd among 41 countries and territories having investment in Dong Nai. However, most of the projects are in the field of industry. Thus, there are many potentials of Dong Nai’s agriculture that Taiwanese investors could explore, she added.
The participating enterprises took their interest in issues of investment policies, land, bank interest rate, incentives for businesses investing in rural-agricultural projects, especially in hi-tech agriculture.
The trade promotion program of Dong Nai in Taiwan will last until August 6.
