Accordingly, South Korea ranked first among 44 countries and territories investing in the province with a total investment capital of US$5.24 billion. It was followed by Taiwan (US$5.14 billion) and Japan (US$3.72 billion). Besides, Singapore, Thailand and Bristish Virgin Island also invested between US$1.1 billion and US$1.9 billion each, mainly in support industry for textile and garment, mechanical engineering, real estate and electronics
Most of FDI projects have proved effective, greatly contributing to the province’s job generation, export and economic growth.
