Over the past five years, the 2011-2015 period, the district invested approximately VND11 trillion for new rural construction, more than 77 percent of the total came from the socialized capital source.
In 2015, the district’s annual per capita income reached VND38.5 million and its average production value of one hectare was VND115 million per year.
The district strives to have all of its communes recognised as new-style rural areas and raise annual per capita income to VND65 million in 2016-2020.
In order to reach the goals, Nhon Trach will focus on industrialisation and modernisation of agriculture while increasing hi-tech application in production.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh praised efforts made by local authorities, organizations and individuals and called on enterprises and people to join hands to build rural areas.
On this occasion, many enterprises and farmers were honored for their contributions to new rural construction.
