Long Thanh durian sold at Coopmart supermarket

(ĐN)- Tran Thanh Tung, a farmer growing VietGAP durian in Long Thanh district's Binh Son commune, said he is going to organize a booth showcasing and selling VietGAP durian at Coopmart Bien Hoa Supermarket which will last a week starting from June 2.

 

(ĐN)- Tran Thanh Tung, a farmer growing VietGAP durian in Long Thanh district’s Binh Son commune, said he is going to organize a booth showcasing and selling VietGAP durian at Coopmart Bien Hoa Supermarket which will last a week starting from June 2.

As far as known, Coopmart has also worked with local farmers to bring their VietGAP durian products to the supermarket. With some 15 hectares under VietGAP durian cultivation, local farmers could supply from 120-130 tons of safe durian per crop. Presently, 60 hectares under durian cultivation in Binh Son and Binh An communes are being grown under VietGap standards.

Thanks to the application of biology farming techniques, investment of watering system, saving fertilizers, this crop, durian gardens in Long Thanh district achieve high productivity, quality. Long Thanh durian has also participated in and got high prizes at fruit festivals in Ho Chi Minh city.
