In May alone, the index rose by 2 percent compared to the previous month.
In the five-month period, leather production recorded the highest growth of 13 percent, followed by the production of chemical with an increase of 11 percent.
The surging index was also contributed by a significant growth in the manufacturing of rubber and plastic, footwear, electrical equipment, non-metallic mineral products.
