Over the last six months, the province’s socio-economic situation continued to recover with numerous positive results.
Accordingly, the province’s index of industrial production increased 8.17 percent year on year, while retail and service revenues totaled nearly VND66.8 trillion, up over 11 percent; the consumer price index rose by 2 percent compared to the same period of previous year. Its State budget collection reached VND20.5 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 9 percent.
In the reviewed period, Dong Nai lured more than US$1 billion worth of foreign direct investment and enjoyed a trade surplus of approximately US$1 billion.
Since the beginning of the year, the province also provided preferential loans to some 6,700 poor households, solved jobs for 44,800 laborers, and offered vocational training for over 33,000 people.
