(ĐN)- A census for rural areas, in agriculture and fishery will be carried out in Dong Nai from July 1 to 30, according to the 2016 census’s steering committee.

The survey aims to collect basic information on agriculture and rural areas, serving the province's socio-economic development policies.
According to plan, more than 475,000 rural households and over 7,300 others engaged in agriculture and fisheries in urban areas would provide basic information about household development.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Chanh, who is head of the steering committee for the census said the survey will focus on information related to agriculture, forestry, salt making and fishery, detailing the number of production units and labourers, the labour structure and production scale.
This will also target the economic structure in rural areas, the reality of infrastructure for rural socio-economic development, the living condition of rural residents and vocational training for the rural workforce.
