(ĐN)- Nhon Trach district has now nearly 4,600 hectares of land under rice cultivation, nearly 1,600 hectares higher than the plan approved by the Prime Minister for the 2011-2015 period.
Under the district’s plan on using land until 2015, Nhon Trach allocates only 3,000 hectares of land for rice cultivation, the rest of land is spent for developing industrial clusters, trade and service, residential areas, etc.
However, effects from economic crisis, real estate have brought out the slow implementation of the projects, making the shift of agricultural land to non-agricultural land fall behind the schedule. Nhon Trach is the second locality in the province after Bien Hoa that has most of projects.
