(ĐN)- Suoi Lon Cooperative in Xuan Loc district’s Xuan Hung commune is preparing to export some 80 tones of Cat Chu mango to the Japanese market, said Head of the cooperative Nguyen The Bao.

This is first batch of mangoes from Dong Nai shipped to Japan under an export contract signed with Japanese importers recently.

These mangoes will be exported at some VND17,000 per kilogram, VND3,000 higher than the local market prices.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung, minister-counselor at the Vietnamese embassy in Japan, Cat Chu mango is the second fresh fruit exported by Viet Nam to Japan after dragon fruit. In the coming time, red-fleshed dragon fruit will make its way to this country.
