(ĐN)- Since the beginning of the year, numerous business delegations from Japan, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc visited Dong Nai to seek investment opportunities in agriculture.

Accordingly, many foreign investors considered Dong Nai as a new destination for agricultural investment and this opportunity should be grasped with proper preparations.

Over the past time, FDI in agriculture has seen positive developments with numerous new projects in agriculture in the province. Particularly, Japan’s SOL Holding got an investment license to grow and process super sorghum products in the province. South Korea's CJ Vina Agri also inaugurated its animal feed production factory at Dau Giay industrial park in Thong Nhat district.

According to Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee, many foreign investors including those from Japan and South Korea have asked the local authorities about the opportunities in agriculture.

“This is a good sign for the sector,” Thai said, adding investors from Japan and Korea seek to bring advanced technology here to produce quality and value-added farm produce.

So far, the province has improved the quality of administrative reforms to attract investment in agriculture. Besides, drastic restructuring in agriculture and flexible solutions for localities are expected to be the golden key to the flow of FDI into the province’s agriculture.

Presently, large groups have paid great attention to Dong Nai’s agriculture, noticing the sector’s potential.
