The increase contributed to the figure in the last ten months this year more than US$2.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17%.
Footwear is the biggest export commodity of Dong Nai. The province is one of 3 biggest footwear exporting localities in the country. Major markets included the US and European countries.
Most of the footwear producers in Dong Nai have received orders for exports until the end this year. Many large shoe manufacturers have transferred orders to Vietnam to enjoy preferential tariffs for exporting to some markets.
It is expected that Dong Nai will earn more than US$2.5 billion from footwear exports in 2015.
