(ĐN)- According to Trong Duc Cocoa Co., Ltd in Dong Nai province, the company has so far developed 134 ha of UTZ-certified cocoa.
As known, the certification is awarded to products that have good quality and are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
Farmers are pleased with the program, saying they can earn more profits from UTZ-certified cocoa.
Trong Duc Co. is now cooperating with a Japanese enterprise to process about 40 tonnes of cocoa bean for its chocolate production. The products will be exported to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Accordingly, the company is making efforts to raise the number of farmers in a UTZ-certified cocoa production program to increase production area and yields.
