Under the document No 1766/TTg-KTN signed by Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, the Ministry of Transport was assigned to listen to suggestions from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, Dong Nai People’s Committee, and work closely with the Ministry of Finance for the financial plan, decide to adjust the project in accordance to the laws as well as take full responsibility for the effective of the project.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai People’s Committee take responsibility to add local budget into the investment in the construction of approach road from Buu Hoa bridge to Highway 1K and ensure the procedure for the construction of the above-mentioned works in a bid to promote the effective of the investment capital, the document said.
The new BOT Dong Nai bridge project began construction in June, 2008. On April this year, the investor, Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1), officially started collecting tolls at Dong Nai Bridge toll collection station on Highway 1 in Bien Hoa city to recover capital for the project.
Last year, the Government approved to supplement two construction works of Tam Hiep tunnel and Amata flyover into the project. The construction works had been put into use, contributing to reduce traffic congestion and accidents along Highway 1 running through Bien Hoa city.
