RON 92 petrol is now being sold at VND17,330 per litre while E5 bio-petrol is trading at VND16,843 per litre.
In the meantime, the prices of diesel, kerosene and fuel oil saw slight decreases by VND111 per litre, VND123 per litre and VND785 per kg respectively.
The two ministries put forth the ceiling price for diesel 0.05S at VND13,310 per litre, kerosene at VND12,286 per litre and fuel oil 3.5S at VND9,351 per kg.
The ministries also asked fuel traders to keep unchanged the extraction fee to add to the fuel price stabilisation fund at VND300 per litre or kg.
According to the two ministries, the price reduction followed the declines in the world market in the past 15 days from August 19 to September 2.
This is the fifth price reduction in a row since June 2015 when the petrol price was listed at VND20,710 per litre. Earlier on August 19, the retail prices of RON 92 petrol and bio-petrol E5 were slashed by VND768 per litre while the prices of other oil were lowered by VND441-VND730 per litre or kg.
