(ĐN)- The value of Dong Nai’s footwear export topped approximately US$726 million in the first four months of this year, an increase of more than 16 percent from the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Department.
The rise stems from the increase in export volume to the European market and the U.S
Over the past time, Dong Nai has made efforts to increase investments in manufacturing materials for footwear industry. However, domestic sources only meet 40% of the total demand for raw materials. Presently, some footwear enterprises in the province still have to import around 90 percent of raw materials.
