(ĐN)- Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee on March 31 had a working session with Thong Nhat district on the implementation of new rural construction program.
Among the district’s 10 communes, 5 have qualified as new rural areas; 4 others have met 19 criteria and the remaining has satisfied 17 out of the 19 criteria for new rural development. Currently, Thong Nhat needs additional VND60 billion to complete some projects on new rural construction. The district aims to have all its communes achieve the status by 2015.
Addressing at the session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh highly praised ongoing efforts made by the district in mobilizing all sources to participate in the construction of new-style rural areas. He hoped that the district would make practical measures to raise its value of agricultural production to increase income for local farmers in the coming time.
