Recently, the province has welcomed several business delegations from Japan to come and explore investment opportunities in the field of agriculture.
Late last month, a delegation of Japanese firms visited the Dong Nai province to survey its investment climate. During a working session with the local authorities, these enterprises have showed their interests in the province’s agriculture sector and said they will choose the province as the next investment destination.
Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Dong Nai provincial government in January clinched a cooperation agreement which is expected to attract Japanese investors to the agriculture sector. Accordingly, Japanese agriculture firms have been encouraged to invest in Dong Nai in accordance with the agreement signed by the province’s leader and the Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Koya Nishikawa.
Dong Nai is looking to step up collaboration with Japan in hi-tech agriculture and food industry, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh of the provincial Party Committee, adding that the province wants Japan to invest in its Agropark, transfer technologies to its biotech application centre, and help train human resources in this field.
