Nestle opened a US$80 million decaffeinated coffee production facility in Dong Nai Province's Amata Industrial Park on March 30.

The new facility, the second phase of the Nestle Tri An plant, will produce decaffeinated coffee for use in Nestle plants all around the world.

This is the first decaffeinated coffee factory in Viet Nam and Nestle's second globally.

"The investment shows our faith in Viet Nam, where we have been operating for 20 years," said Nestle's CEO Paul Bulcke.

The first phase of the Nestle Tri An plant began production in November 2012, and produces coffee products for sale domestically and for export.

In Viet Nam, Nestle has invested over $450 million in five factories, and has 2,000 employees.
