(ĐN)- Nhon Trach 2 combined-cycle gas turbine power plant officially began generating electricity for the national grid on November 5 after three years of operation, according to PetroVietnam Power NhonTrach 2 J.S Company (PVPower Nhon Trach 2).
With a capacity of 70 MW, the plant is able to supply 4.2 billion kWh of electricity per year. It is expected to account for 5-6 percent of the nation’s total power capacity
In the first nine months of the year, PVPower Nhon Trach 2 reached revenue of VND4.5 trillion and pre-tax profit of VND550 billion, contributed VND185 billion to state budget. As of November 5, the company provided 3.9 billion kWh of power, fulfilling 98% of the yearly plan.
