(ĐN)- Tan Phu district set up an around 30-ha area in Tra Co commune to breed freshwater prawn under the Vietnamese Good Agriculture Practice (VietGAP) standards.
The breeding model is expected to bring high economic efficiency to the locality and directly help improve the local people's living conditions.
At present, Tan Phu has total aquaculture area of 1,759 hectares. In 2013, the district’s fisheries value reached some VND37 billion in 2013.
Aquaculture is a key economic sector of the locality and brings high profits for locals.
