(ĐN)- Dong Nai Industrial Park Development Corporation (Sonadezi), Dong Nai Food Industrial Corp (Dofico), and Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Products and Foods Company (Donafoods) will make their divestments and equitisation between 2015 and 2019 under the Decision No. 37/2014/QD-TTg dated June 18, 2014 of the Prime Minister on criteria, lists for classification of state – owned enterprises (SOEs).

According to Sonadezi’s equitisation plan approved by the Government, the State will retain a 50-65 percent stake after the group goes public. While the State holding at Dofico and Donafoods will be 65-75% and below 50% respectively.

Under a restructuring plan for the SOEs until 2020, three corporations will have to complete their divestments of 38 companies in their non-core businesses.

Dong Nai will continue efforts to speed up the equitisation of State-owned enterprises and improve policies and mechanisms to address the problems arising from the SOE restructuring process.

Presently, the State stake at Sonadezi Long Binh is 79 percent; the figure will gradually decline to 51 percent in 2016-2020 period.

A representative of Dong Nai Water Supply Company said that the company would be completing the equitisation of all of its businesses by 2014. Currently, the company is receiving much attention from potential investors.

It’s estimated that SOEs will provide the market with a huge amount of capital via their divestments of non-core investments and equitisation, and these are great chances for investors. The equitisation of State corporations will open opportunities for private investors to take part in management and operation of these enterprises.
