(ĐN)- Dong Nai earned US$9.218 billion from exports in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%, while spending US$8.92 billion on imports, up 10.3%, resulting in a trade surplus of US$289 million, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
The province’s significant export markets include the US, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and the UK.
A number of key exports achieved high growth in the Jan-Sept, including footwear, a 14.5% year-on-year rise, textiles and garments, up 8.6%, wood and wooden products, up 8.4%. In this period, coffee and cashew nut exports also increased significantly in both volume and quality.
