Accordingly, pepper tree saw the highest growth with 1,300 hectares higher than the previous year, followed by coffee tree with 1,200 hectares, and mango tree, 300 hectares.
The increase was due to local farmers have switched from growing short-day crops to growing perennial trees to reduce the working hours because of the lack of labor force for the harvest season in the rural areas, bringing the cost of hiring laborers increases highly.
