(ĐN)- On August 1, Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade organized a seminar on Vietnam-Chile free trade agreement and opportunities to boost exports to Chile.

The event was attented by Mr Alvaro Guzman, Chilean Vice Ambassador to Vietnam, and Mr Ngo Van Phong, Head of Department of American Market under Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Vietnam – Chile free trade agreement, which took effect last January, has opened up chances for Vietnamese businesses generally and Dong Nai’s enterprises particularly to promote exports to the Chilean market. Presently, rice, footwear, garment and textile are Vietnam's main export products to Chile.
At the seminars, the participants paid special attention to provisions on market access, regulations of origin, quarantine, and technical barrier.
Chile will be a springboard for Vietnamese firms to enter other Latin American countries.
