According to the provincial Statistics Department, investment in agricultural industry in 2013 saw a year-on-year increase of around 16%, proving Dong Nai’s agriculture as an attractive destination for businesses and individuals inside and outside province.
In the first six months this year, source of capital poured into breeding facilities and expanding breeding area in the province increased sharply, this has helped the total herds of pig and chicken rise by over 4%, said Tran van Quang, Head of the provincial Veterinary Department.
Nguyen Huu Hieu, Deputy General Director of Dong Nai Food Industrial Corporation said that a South Korean-invested enterprise is expected to cooperate with the corp to lease 3,000 hectare of land to plant banana for domestic consumption and for export.
In the first half this year, there were some 70 enterprises registered to set up their business in agricultural industry, the provincial Department of Planning and Investment reported.
