Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh informed the delegation about the situation of supporting enterprises affected by those who took advantage of the protests against China’s illegal actions in the East Sea to destroy the property of foreign and domestic firms, disrupting social order and business activities on May 13-14.
Accordingly, there were over 200 foreign and domestic firms affected by the incident. 82 of them, which were slightly affected, did not ask for compensation.
The rest of them, 123 businesses including 80 Taiwanese businesses, which were seriously affected by the rioters, received the province’s support and compensation from the insurance companies.
The delegation highly appreciated the interest of the provincial Government, especially the goodwill towards the foreign investors.
