(ĐN)- On June 10, Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee chaired an investment-trade promotion conference in Dubai city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The event was attended by representatives from 40 Dubai enterprises operating in the fields of im-export and real estate and Dong Nai’s businesses.
Dubai’s enterprises expressed their interests in raw cashew materials, cassava production, textile and garment. The investors also concerned about corporate income tax policies of Vietnam and sources of raw materials for production. At the conference, enterprises of two sides had exchanges to seek cooperation opportunities.
Earlier, Dong Nai Food Technology Corporation (Dofico) organized an opening ceremony for its representative office in Dubai.
Mr Tran Ngoc Thach, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in the UAE, and Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh attended the ceremony.
Currently, Dofico sets up a US$15 million joint venture with Dubai-based PRS company who wants to import agricultural products from Dong Nai. Over the past two years, the Dofico exported US$20 million worth of products to the UAE.
