(ĐN)- Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee on Wednesday welcomed Mr Horito Hyakkoku, Chairman of the Japanese Business Association in HCM city (JBAH), who paid a courtesy visit to Dong Nai.
At the reception, Mr Horito Hyakkoku expressed his deeply concern over the unfortunate problem when some extremists took advantage of workers’ protests against China ’s illegal placement of its oil rig in Vietnam ’s waters to commit social disturbance, affecting the enterprises.
JBAH hoped that the province’s leader will take drastic measure to ensure the absolute safety for foreign businesses and investors by preventing similar incidents from ever taking place again, he added.
For his part, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai stressed that Japan is one of the county having earliest investment in Dong Nai. Presently, there are more than 170 Japanese enterprises operating in the province with the total investment at over US$3.1 billion.
Regarding to the disturbances at some enterprises, the province’s leader affirmed that the province will prevent similar incidents from ever taking place again, adding that the province has established working groups to verify real losses of affected enterprises and work out solutions to support the enterprises.
In addition, the province will also set up a hotline to promptly support the enterprises at their necessity.
