VISSAN, Viet Nam's biggest slaughterhouse and meat processing company, will invest VND400 billion (US$19 million) to store meat and processed food for 2013 Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays, according to VISSAN's director general Van Duc Muoi.
VISSAN has signed contracts to buy pigs from farmers in neighbouring provinces, including Binh Duong and Dong Nai, to prepare for the Tet market, which will fall in February next year.
