(ĐN)- The provincial trade deficit was estimated at US$33 million in the first seven months of this year, the Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) has reported.
In the period, total imports reached US$6,053 billion, down 1.7 percent over the same period last year, fulfilling 47 percent of the year’s plan.
Meanwhile, exports totaled US$6,020 billion, a year-on-year increase of more than 12 percent, making up 53 percent of the yearly target.
According to the DoIT, the province saw a trade surplus of 33 million USD due to significant increases in imports since last two months.
The province’s major import products included raw materials for production, industrial chemical, plastic and machines, etc.
