In July, four groups of commodities registered decreases. Particularly, food and catering services dropped 0.18 percent; transport fell by 2.68 percent, post and telecommunications declined by 0.07 percent; and housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials were down 1.57 percent.
The remaining groups saw slight increases, including soft drinks and tobacco. Garment and footwear recorded the highest increase of 1.23 percent.
The average increase of CPI in the first seven months this year was 3.03 percent against the same period of last year.
