As much as 420 hectares of the summer-autumn rice crop in the province have been damaged because of the impact of the salt wate, an increase of some 400 hectares when compared to the middle of June this year, reported the Provincial Plant Protection Department.
The two hardest hit communes were Long Tan and Vinh Thanh in Nhon Trach district.
As known, nearly 22,000 hectares of rice have been planted for the summer-autumn crop 2011 in Dong Nai province.
