Under the Decision No. 315/QĐ-TTg, the insurance will cover three subject matters: paddy rice, livestock and poultry, and aquaculture.
The State will provide 100% and 80% insurance costs for poor and close-to-poor agricultural households or individuals engaging in the program.
In addition, the rate of insurance costs will be 60% for other farming individuals or households and 20% for agricultural organizations.
Accordingly, Dong Nai, Bac Ninh, Nghe An, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong and Ha Noi participate in livestock and poultry insurance.
Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Binh Thuan, An Giang, and Dong Thap participate in paddy rice.
Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, and Ca Mau will implement pilot program for tra fish, basa fish, shrimp, white leg shrimp.
This Decision is applied from July 1, 2011 to the end of 2013.
