(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s Jan-May trade gap is estimated at US$760 million, according to the Department of Industry and Trade. In the first five months, the province’s export turnover reached US$3.7 billion while the import spending was US$4.47 billion, a year-on-year increase of 33.7% and 26.2%, respectively.
Of the import items, raw cashew nuts saw the sharpest rise of 55%, followed by medicines with 33% increase, industrial chemical up 16.5% and raw materials for production up 7.4%.
Exports from foreign-invested enterprises increased more than 33% compared to the same period of last year; the local enterprises up nearly 32%, and the central enterprises up over 28%.
