Dong Nai’s retail sales up nearly 25% in first 5 months

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s retail sales of goods and services in May is estimated at more than VND5.5 trillion, a 3.2 percent month-on-month rise, according to Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade.

The tourism sector saw a rise of 3.6 percent in May. The increased figures for the hotel-restaurant and service sectors were 3.3 per cent and 3.2 per cent, respectively.

 

The May figure brings the province’s total five-month retail sales up to approximately VND27 trillion, up 25 percent compared to the same period of last year.

 

Accordingly, the non-state sector registered the highest retail sales growth among other economic sectors. It saw a year-on-year increase of more than 25 percent. The sales of the state-owned sector rose by over 20 percent, the foreign-owned sector grew at approximately 19 percent.
