(ĐN)- Dong Nai-based commercial banks raised more than VND54 trillion in deposits in the first five months of the year, up nearly 33% year-on-year and 5.85% compared to the beginning of the year, according to Dong Nai Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam.
Particularly, deposits from economic organizations reached VND17.7 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 12%, while those from individuals was VND36.5 trillion, up more than 46%.
Of total deposits, mobilized capital in foreign currencies accounted for 18 percent.
Until the end of May, the banks’ loan turnover was estimated at VND52.7 trillion, up 9.67% from early this year and 35% against the same period of last year. Of which, short term loans increased more than 10%, long and medium term loans up approximately 9%.
Loans in VND rose by 10% while foreign currency loans increased by 7%.
